Which Paper is best for Headshots – Please Read

Litho Paper is pretty much the same quality of Photo, however, its ink instead of chemicals and is printed on a heavy card stock which actually will allow you to print on the back (resume etc) easier with no smudging, Litho paper will last about 2 to 5 years with little fade,  these days the inks used are more archive-able so the print will last longer and depending on the paper could last longer than photos if kept right.

Photo paper holds a little more quality because of its a smoother non-breathable surface (not completely paper) BUT it’s harder to print on the backs and will smudge. Photo paper is archive-able and will last for 10 + years with little to no fade.

Bottom line is, the way I like to see it,  If you are doing Celebrity signings than go with Photo Prints give the client the best for their money.

If you are doing drop offs and handing them out at auditions than do Litho Printing and save a little cash and Still have a great first impression.
